I always thought i'd be the person who'd have kids late in her 20s, maybe even in my thirties, i wouldn't be one of those women who had to live at home to raise their baby i wanted to be in my own apartment, hell i wanted to be in a relanship before i got pregnant
but God has a sense of humor because here i am 24 and pregnant
Well i should problably rewind and go start over
My Name is Nikki and i live in a small town called Wobcester just outside of Boston, most of my friends have kids or trying to get pregnant, i always thought this was bizarre because who wants to raise a kid when your still techinally a kid yourself?
Anyway, one night i decided to go to the movies as i usually did on friday nights, i went to see the Love Guru, i thought it would be jammed packed because it usually was but in this case it was completely empty.
a 250 seat theatre and there were only two seats filled.
Mine and a cute boy ten rows back.
Throughout the movie, i kept hearing this laugh that sounds almost like bells, it was like music to me, nothing is sexier than a good laugh.
After the movie ended and i was picking my keys off the floor, i heard someone clear his throat above my head. i looked up into the most beautiful blue eyes i had ever seen, they were the color of the ocean.
"Hi," He said
"Hi" my voice cracked
His name was Lucas, he stood tall at 6'7, he was athletic, funny romantic
From that moment in the movie theatre, we spent every moment together, we took long walks on Revere beach, romantic dinners in the city, it was so romantic. Sometimes we just sat in his bedroom and talked, about his dream of being a lawyer, of how we felt obligations to our families, of how we wanted to escape to califorina and just stat over again.
this was a wonderful first five months and it got even better.
One weekend, we decided to go to Hampton Beach, it's so beautiful there, every hotel faces the ocean and everything is open until midnight.
We arrived at our hotel just after sunset,
"It's so beautiful here" i said opening the curtains
"Hmm, not as beautiful as you" Lucas said wrapping his arms around me..
